Sky HD Box Freezing

My SKY HD box has suddenly starting freezing every few days. I have been switching off at the socket and waiting a few minutes before rebooting and it works fine but it seems to be increasing in frequency. Basically what happens is that the channel remains and the remote will not work nor wil any of the buttons on the box.…

Basically what happens is that the channel remains and the remote will not work nor wil any of the buttons on the box. There is no freezing of the picture just no controls work.

Any ideas??

It could be because infra-red spill over from your TV is interfering with the remote signal. I had this fault with various Samsung HD boxes. Try to 'shelter' your HD box from the TV's light and it may help. My Dad pushed his box further back in the cabinet and it sorted the problem.
