    Hi all

I'm having probs with E4 on my Aldi Freesat box. Can get picture but the sound is all messed up. Tried different sats but still the same problem. Anyone else heard of this problem?

    Btw, E4+1 is working fine.....

    Cheers

    John

Delete all channels you have and retune your Aldi box for free channels on Astra 28 thats the only satellite you should pick up if you are wanting all the free English channels Ignore all the other named satellites in the list as your dish is not pointing at them. Aldi dont sell official Freesat boxes, what you have is a Free to Air satellite receiver that needs to be retuned every few months.

You say you have tried different sats but I am not sure what you mean by that? E4 is only on one satellite.I think you are referring to a lip syncing problem.

Try a hard reboot on the box. Is there a 0/1 type switch on the back of the box? If so use that. Failing that plug it out for a few seconds and plug it back in again.

Does that make a difference ?

E4 is on a transponder that is susceptipal to breakup,

    - check dish alignment concentrating on signal quality,
    - make sure any joins in the cable run are done with f connectors and barrels.
    - make sure good quality screened cable is used.

    delete and add manually 10729 V 22000 5/6

It's on the same transponder as E4+1, which is 2D, which is tightly focussed over the UK and Ireland.

both e4 and e4+1 on same frequency and both same polarization

so if your getting one the other should work

all I can think is to scan that frequency again like has been suggested
