    Cancel the weekend away...

You wouldnt want him to hear you fart!!

Only joking... My advice is everyone farts, ****s, belches etc... As long as you do it in a ladylike fashion it is acceptable..

If an involuntary fart comes out.. just laugh and make a joke of it...

If you accidentally sh!t yourself ... Scarlett for you!!

Motillium is used to control vomiting and nausea and to increase stomach motility so stop taking that first off. It wont help with your symptons. Keep hydrated, try and eat high fibre foods for a couple of days and avoid high fat or heavily processed foods.

Mwahahaha....my abs hurt from the gym yesterday but I couldn't help laughing at that.

OP, if you are over the worst of it, I'd say go on the trip. However, if it is still lingering about than I'd see if there is an option to postpone for a week as it's unlikely that you'll be able to relax and properly enjoy the weekend.

Hah. I'm a nervous pooer, so, some tricks in case of an emergency are:

    1) Music. Loud. TV works fine too.
    2) Stick a towel along the bottom of the door where the crack is. Buffers the sound a little bit and.. ahem.. blocks any unpleasant odors from escaping in the mean time.
    3) Run the tap or the shower/bath for more sound diffusion.
    4) Toilet paper buffer for any.. er.. drops. Obviously this depends on what the toilet can handle before clogging.
    5) Maybe ask him to run to the shop for ice cream or something, alternately ask him to prepare a snack or go to another room that isn't close to the toilet; pick a reason as applicable.

It's not foolproof but it does a fair bit to diffuse any sounds that may escape. When you're dealing with a house with thin walls, there isn't much hope, unfortunately, and thin walls are quite popular here.

Slip some laxative into his dinner so it looks like you both got food poisoning. :D

Down to your chemist and get some immodium. That'll sort you out within a few hours. Amazing gear.

I let out a high-pitched, almost girly lol at this.

OP, don't worry too much. If he's not a total priss, he won't mind if you accidentally fart. Just say "woops, sorry!" and go back to what you were doing.

OP go into chemist and as for Arrett ( sp...french for Stop tee hee ) ..two tablets and your sorted...better than any cork know to man :D

As long as you don't cock one leg and fart don't worry about it.

+1 to Khannie on the Immodium. That will sort you out

I was the same when I first started going out with bf. Hated him knowing I was gonna do a poop or fart!! 7 years later i couldn't care less!!

However, as other people have said, make a joke of it! If you really are uncomfortable, maybe nip to the chemist and get the rennie deflatine? Yellow pack, about €5. Will break up any wind in your tummy or elsewhere and hopefully you'll be ok!!

Lighting farts can be very dangerous! Don't do it!

Seriously I wouldn't worry, guy's aren't put off by natural functions. Went out on a 2nd date with a girl, just dinner and a movie no alcohol and on the walk home she just paused and puked her ring up. I thought it was funny and a cute story, she.... not so much. I obviously didn't get a good night kiss that night but I never held it against her.

Same here! I would have been holding them in when around him at the very start - these days it's no holds barred :D

OP he'll have heard it all before, especially if he has sisters and therefore knows well that women are not quite just made of sugar and spice. Hope you have a lovely and romantic weekend :)

Assuming this is a sexy weekend if you are still having loose stools don't just rely on toilet paper for wiping. Either bring some babywipes with you or have a quick wash afterward. If you are staying somewhere with a bidet all the better, they are quite underrated in the anglo-saxon world but they are great for this type of situation.

Oh, and it may never have been a consideration, but avoid anal play if you are still a bit squiffy.

Yeah, the others are right about Immodium. Motilium will do nothing for you. You're treating the wrong thing.

Run the taps, turn on the telly, scented candles and babywipes and you'll be away!!
Alternatively, leg it downstairs to the reception area loos and do your business..

there should be more poo and farting related threads on boards. this is the funniest thread ive read in aaaages. :D
also have to agree with few others on here, if hes at all nice he'll understand youre not feeling too well, and same as few others here at this stage with my OH all those noises and bodily functions are just normal now!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,150 ✭✭✭✭Malari

I went on holiday with my boyfriend a few weeks after we started going out and I got a tummy-bug! I had the "loose motion" problem with added sharp stomach pains. Not nice, and not hideable. :o

He was absolutely brilliant though! No embarrassment, he knew everyone goes through this stuff from time to time, he would rub my stomach when it was painful, ask how I felt coming back from the bathroom, tell me to "let it rip" if I needed to :D

You might be surprised. If you show that you're not ashamed then hopefully he won't be juvenile about it either :)

There used to be plenty in AH but then people started the every couple hours. Think its down to a stage of Flutt is allowed to start one every 2 months or so
