Try getting some photos that are in focus and the right way up first.... I got a headache looking at those.

Looks like the hinge has broken away from the rear casing of the LCD. Most likely the rear of the LCD will need to be replaced.

As mentioned above in focus shot would give us a better idea.

Why can't the hinge be fixed?

Sorry to bump an oldish thread but were you able to fix the hinges Kikel? I let my NC10 fall too and the hinges are broke, but not the extent of yours Kikel, mine seem to be split in two. Im not sure if it can be fixed or not.

It was blueyedson that had the problem with the hinges. I was just trying to help. :)

Have the same problem as you Dman. Left hand side hinge is split and unfortunately Samsung won't cover this on the warranty. I have a feeling the repair crowd will be quite expensive but must check that out today.

I've been looking around and found this site:
    http://www.mk-electronic.com/shop/default.asp?WMFN=ECPItemDescription&WMFT=D&WTID=175&WREC=99527903&WKEY=65534=99527903
    http://www.mk-electronic.com/Hersteller/PDFDokumente/Samsung/Notebooks/NP-NC10%20Serie/NP-NC10-KA03DE.pdf

They seem to be sellinig the required part so I might have a go at doing the repair myself.

Funny enough I found the same crowd selling the hinges but I was put off from buying them as they have no pic of the hinges and wasnt 100% sure if they were infact hinges.

I heard this was the best guide to follow when removing the hinges:
    http://netbookmag.com/2009/02/03/tutorial-samsung-nc10-touchscreen-installation/

If you do go ahead with it, please do let me know who you get on.

I sent an email to that crowd asking them about that item. They said it was only a hinge cap and not the complete hinge, and it was only a single unit unfortunately.
