Ok i asked for advice a while back about how i should change my diet and what i could do.

So that was around september october i started at 6ft3 14 half stone im now same height :p and 13 and half stone i did go down to 13 stone but put on few pounds over last 2 or 3 weeks thanks to halloween bank holiday weekends so on i just kinda let my foot off gas and now im pissed off.

So im sittin here thinking i really wanna get back to 13 to start with and work from there what problem with me is i find meself hungry and picking at silly stuff later in the day.

I was eatin an egg or porridge for breakfast then brown bread sandwich or two for lunch then when get home dinner of some kinda fish or chicken and mushrooms and other veg.

What should i do if i want to lose weight and stay slim? I have most problems around my middle no matter what i do it always seems give me problems to be totally honest i dont have time or drive to go to the gym i work alot and when i actually do get free time i want to make the most of it with my friends or family.

Is drink a major problem ? i mean if i do go out its usually only Friday or Saturday night couple bottles bud nothing crazy.

Can you post up a sample day's diet, warts and all? Include all snacks etc.

You're screwing up your metabolism if you're not eating anything till dinner. That will really affect your attempts to lose weight as after a fast like that your body hangs onto food for dear life. I know it's hard, but you need to eat regularly.

    Hi :)

I used to do exactly the same! eat nothing all day and then a healthy enough dinner - but the key is to eat every 3 hours. what helped me get my head around this was the Famine signal - imagine your body isn't getting any food (fuel) it thinks "FAMINE!!" and starts holding on to any food you do give it instead of burning it and converting it into energy.
Result? you feel tired, eat very little and can't lose weight.

    Ok thanks for replys

See i guess what problems i have our that really i find only way i can lose weight is by eating much less cause if i try eating every 3 hours or something similar i will find me self picking at things with out even thinking and then really i am wasting my time.

Would it be ok to just go back to what i was doing ? Eggs or something similar in mornings maybe brown bread sandwich for lunch then a healthy dinner? i lost a stone in a week or two doing this a month or so ago.

I think your goal should be to improve your eating habits long term instead of trying to lose a stone in a week! the side effect of eating healthy foods regularly is ... you lose weight :) maybe you should also keep an eye on your measurements instead of just looking at the scales. If you increase your protein intake you'll gain muscle. muscle tissue burns 300 times more calories than fat tissue so you could be losing centimetres like crazy and the scales won't show it (the scales might even show you've gained weight - but who cares when you look great!)

Ah ok i dunno the whole thing is kinda confusing to me really i find it hard to know what is right to be eating half the time. I have never been a small bloke but ya im 23 so guess age is on me side lol plus im tall so i kinda misjudge my weight and what i should be eating at times.

My wife was like this eating nothing much until dinner then cramming in enought food to last a day.

She changed to porridge (It takes 5 mins in total) ate a toasted plain chicken wrap, water and maybe packet of crisps for lunch(she is a fussy eater) and the healthy dinner and lost 4 stone in 7 months.

In the mad diets of this world they advise first thing in the morning a cup of hot water with a squeez of lemon and a wedge of lemon to get the body working. The an hour later your healthy breakfast.

Why not snack on fruit apples are handy and grapes, try stay off the eggs other than for a treat. one egg in WW points is the same as a 30g bowl of porridge and you will find the porridge makes you fuller for the day. Ps whats in your sandwich?

Also target low GI foods like fruit that give you long term energy bursts. Examine your day and find where you tend to be tired (if any) and try incorporate a piece or two of fruit a few hours before you will be surprised looking back that you were not tired after all.
