    hey all,

i'm getting sky plus installed soon and am just wondering if there is anyway i can use the old sky box in another room to get the free to air channels?.... is there a connection i need to get installed from the satellite for this into the new room?. Just wondering if the installer might do this for me.

has anyone done something like this before?

For what its worth. You will need at least a dual LNB on your dish with a separate cable to connect to the second box.

If you remove your card from the existing box you will see the stations that you can get. You will also be able to get "other channels" by entering said menu on Services screen and tuning in to BBC, ITV etc. Frequencies are easily available on-line.

    I trust this helps.
