    Just wondering,

Which health food shop has the cheapest or best value bits and pieces in Dublin. I know the Health Store, mainstream though it is, has usually got decent deals going on but their staff arnt as keyed in as the more independent shops. I asked a staff member in the one in Rathmines if there nuts were raw and she looked at me like I had too heads and the manager said she'd say they would be alright. I like the staff in The Hopshack but its a bit pricier there I think. Agave Syrup is nearly e5 where its actually 3.50 in Fallon and Byrne of all places. I went to Nourish and Down to Earth and think maybe D to E was about 20c cheaper on dried fruits and nuts. I know it depends what you buy of course but just a thought.

    Thanks:)

as you mentioned above, it really depends on what you are buying. some things are cheaper in one place, but other things might be more expensive in the same place. you have to get a feel for it really. no easy answer! i do find that the health store over-charge on the majority of items compared to other shops. and remember, try to buy from you local health food store if it isn't part of a chain because you don't want your handy shop closing up due to lack of business!

There isn't a Health Store in Rathmines. In the interests of blaming the right shop do you mean Holland & Barratt?

    Hey,

I think I ment Holland and Barrett (but not in a blame way, more in a "youre a chain way". But in the Swan there is also The Hopshack which is a great little shop and have a really good website and which Im a big fan off. Its in the opposite entrance to ExtraVision. :)
