You Funny Beggar

Walked past a street beggar the other day who was holding the following sign:

Which sex is more generous Men or Women?

Directly underneath both the words Men & Women he had drawn two arrows which were each pointing down to separate collection bowls on the ground.

I thought it was pretty funny! Wish I'd taken a picture.

Anybody else seen a funny beggars sign?

i seen this guy at the top of grafton street..looked in his 60's..lying on the ground with just his head and shoulders leaning against a wall.. he has a really cheap mask on you would pick up in the pound shop (for some reason...) & a sign that said.. "no bull**** - need money for drink"... needless to say i threw him 2 or 3 euro for honesty alone.

Is that the guy around Columbas Circle in New York? I was just about to post that sign. Was there a few years back when a tourist took his photo and started walking away, he practically mugged her to get money for the photo.

Taking his photo and not giving him a bit of cash is really rude. If the guy is giving you a funny holiday snap then the least you can do is give him a couple of dollars.

Probably so when he gets up and goes into his big flashy car, you don't recognise him, or goes to the pub, depends.
