Grant turned down

I am currently doing an MA in UCD. After five years living away from home studying I thought I would finally get a grant this year. Unfortunately I have been turned down. Their first excuse was on the grounds that I did not have sufficient evidence that I was living where I was in 2008. Just when I thought that obsticle was about to be overcome the woman who was dealing with my grant suddenly copped on that I have been in continuous education since 2005, and as such my application as an independent mature student would have to be judged on where I was living in 2004 (at home with my parents) So no grant for me.
Anybody who I have told about this said it seems completely ridiculous but after 3 months of arguing I'm not sure I can be bothered anymore. Surely if they say no that's it...isnt it?

more or less yeah. its a horrible system, but there is also the change of circumstances form you can complete and send in. basically, if the situation at home has changed since 2004, then you can put all these details on it.
its targetted towards people who's parents are no longer in employment due to illness or job loss from the recession, but its worth a shot for you to send it in since your not living with your parents for such a long time.
