hi all got a call last week from a young lady -private number- said she represented beaumont hospital trust -foundation , she appeared to on a mobile phone and in a car on hands free , just wondering if any one else got this call . as usual they were looking for donations , Its amazing when one does a little looking that you see that they are ltd companies using the names of these good hospitals , ie crumlin , temple st , beaumont, .Are these people on HSE rates of pay ? If they are where can i get an application form? 100k a year , car and expenses, sure youd give it a try anyway

Long distance calls from some scam ridden country tend to sound like that aright, anyone that phone me up either coldcalling or selling rubbish just gets hung up on.

Doesn't look like a scam but ALWAYS check to see if the person phoning is a proper representative and do not give any personal info over the phone.

Beaumont is actually a Voluntary Hospital as opposed to a HSE hospital. As to exactly what that means ....I'm not entirely sure but there is some difference with funding etc

Ask them for a contact number and tell them you will call them back.
Does sound very suspicious though.

If what the poster typed was correct she said she was from the

beaumont hospital trust -foundation

Which to me might sound like they added in the trust part to make it very similar to maybe the correct Beaumont Hospital Foundation and were hoping you wouldnt notice.
