Just wondering if anyone has tried the Weight Loss Challenge and if so - would they recommend it?

I'm not looking to lose a huge amount of weight, but over the last year or so I've let an extra stone creep on that I cannot seem to shift. Would this class be suitable? Or does anyone have any other recommendations?

    Cheers

    Hi,

Not sure what the weight loss challenge is?

But I would highly recommend WeightWatchers if you are looking for some support with your weightloss. I find it amazing and can't give it enough praise. It is straightforward, easy to follow and provides lots of support.

I have tried many times to lose weight on my own and not suceeded but in the last year I have lost just shy of 4stone. :D It works so well for alot of people.

    Might be worth considering,

Do you mean the Weight Loss Challenge as in the Special K thing?

No its not that, I just heard about it the other day. It looks to be an alternative to WW, you sign onto a 12 wk course and they give u various tips each week to help you lose weight (from fat - they obv not advocating you lose muscle or anything else weight!)

    www.wlcdublin.com

sounds good, just wanted to know if anyone has tried it and had results

    Hi Spellstar,

Sounds like you are serious about losing the stubborn fat! I like to call the last stone that won't shift the stubborn fat :) I'm actually a weight loss challenge coach, I became one after losing 16lbs but more importantly shaping up! I think the course is fantastic, pity more people don't know about it. There's a 14 year old in one of the classes I coach who's after going from a size 22 to a size 16 in the last 8 weeks! she was skipping meals in an effort to lose weight and suffering daily migranes. She eats every 3 hours now and hasn't had a migrane since she joined the WLC.
why not check out a class?

    best of luck :)

    Hey there,

My parents did the weight loss challenge, and got fantastic results.:) Both are in their sixties, and never really tried to lose weight before.. .They learnt how to choose better options for breakfast and snacks and the importance of water!!!! my parents where real tea people like every other Irish person:) So to see them focused on getting there water in really impressed me!

But they also got great health results as well as losing 7lbs and 9lbs each they improved their cholesterol, blood pressure, energy and they look great!!

It was so funny to see them coming home with their charts, and comparing to see who lost the most body fat, bmi, visceral fat.!

My dad came 6th and beat people in their 20's

I have four older brothers in there 30's and my parents are actually in better Nick than they are now::) :)

They were great fun, fierce competition between the two of them! great to hear they're keeping up the healthy eating habits.
Re healthy breakfast program - there's no problem with you using it, I lost my weight 7 years ago and still have my healthy breakfast every morning!it helps me get my daily protein requirements (I'm vegetarian and getting protein in the morning can be tricky) If you're feeling good it's your body's way of telling you you're doing something right!
