    hi,
i use a laptop with my interactive whiteboard in school. i shut it down normally today and i tried to turn in on there but it keeps on coming up with "windows did not start successfully, choose which mode to start with" and all that and it doesn't matter which one i choose as it always just starts up again and goes through the same process!
    any ideas?!?!

Thought someone would have helped you with this, but obviously everyones as lazy as i am.. but ill give you an idea of what you need to do!

Your computer is encountering a critical error as it boots (blue screen), your machine is set to restart when this happens so you're not seeing it.

You need to run the windows recovery console. Not sure how comfortable you are with computers but this is the jist of it.

Get a windows xp cd (assuming you're running XP). Put it in and when it starts up, you'll need to select the one time boot options (should be right hand corner of your screen when its loading. Usually F12 or F11). You'll then be asked to press any key to boot from CD.

When its finished loading the windows drivers, you'll be given the option to install windows, or go to the recovery console (press R for recovery console).

You'll then be asked to select the version of windows you want to repair. Usually 1 C:\Windows. Press 1, hit enter.

If you're asked for the Administrator password, enter your password (assuming you're the administrator). If you don't have a password, leave it blank and hit enter.

After doing that, type chkdsk r and let it run the chkdsk, find and fix any faults. Restart and see if thats helped.

    Google windows recovery console help
