So as I'm not a 12-year-old girl, is there anything I can do about the Windows 7 login screen without having to use any third party tools/hacks??

    Thanks in advance :D

Well if its the background image you want to change on login screen you can do this...

on the machine navigate to this folder
    C:\Windows\System32\oobe\info\backgrounds

and save the image you want as the background as "backgroundDefault.jpg"

    Then goto regedit and goto
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Authentication \ LogonUI \ Background

Create a new Dword value called OEMBackground and then set the value to 1.

If thats not what you need then let us know....

Have a look at this. http://www.julien-manici.com/windows_7_logon_background_changer/

The guy who wrote the program explains what it dose and how it works. I've used it and i have to say i was impressed.
