iPhone - "White Screen of Death" - possible solution

    Hi All,

    Just an experience, thought I'd share in case it helps any my iPhone screen went completely white, nothing displayed. I could still connect with iTunes, still receive calls but could not see anything on the screen.

    The phone wasn't jailbroken or unlocked or anything.

    After a minor heart attack, and a few minutes of panic at the thoughts of being without it for a few days, I managed to find a solution. Here
    - First, press and hold the HOME button.
    - Second, press and hold the UP volume button as well.
    - Third, with those still held, press and hold the SLEEP button.

    After 5 or 6 seconds it displayed the black screen with the chrome Apple logo. About 15 to 20 seconds after that it booted into my password login. Once I entered the code, the phone operated normally.

    This worked for me. Hope it helps, if you ever come across it.
