ipod touch problem

    hi a friend of mine got a ipod touch during the year . it has now stopped working. he said he heard they go into a "coma state" after a while when not been used . has any one heard of this or know how to get this back on. he doesnt have a pc so im going to try update it for him on my pc ... is there a way of resetting/rebooting a itouch without connecting it to a pc that i can try first ??

    It should still be under warranty if he bought it from a shop. Same problem happened to me and I just sent it back and got it replaced. Works fine now.

    i have said that to him as it is still under warranty . but he just want me to try beofre he brings it back just incase it something small like updateing .. what did they say was wrong with yours ???

    Hi i have a problem with a new itouch. When i am trying to sync it for the second time only, it is hanging, it says verifying ipod, but it just keeps hanging. Can anyone help please?
