    Hi there,

At the moment i've got about 5 ideas that i think are good, all are original and i think at least one of them could be huge.

My only problem is i'm not very good at organizing things, time etc, and not very good at getting things down on paper.

I have 2 ideas that are internet based and after going through most of what i think is required they just seem to huge to undertake or even to make a start on,

anyone got any advice on planning anything like this,

    legality, permissions, basic layouts etc?

Is there any program or package that allows you to work on each part of your planning seperately?

    I'm a little lost!

What are the biggest hurdles in your way?

I'm a believer in just starting off and facing things head on as they present themselves, you could spend your life trying to figure out every eventuality and never do anything!

just completely daunted by the thoughts of starting these things, i have no idea in what order i should try to start organizing pieces of the business puzzle for each idea.

like do you do mind maps etc?

    Hi Oceansize,

You need to find out quickly which ideas are runners and which to kill off.

    The following post might help:
(A Quick & Inexpensive Way To Find Out If There Is A Market For Your Products/Services )

Start small, work smart, get actual market feedback as early as possible, and use the 80/20 principle as much as you can. It's all about being agile.

The most important things you need to establish at the outset are:

    1) Your personal goals from your business.
For example, mine is: Financial freedom so that I no longer have to work.

    2) Goals for your business, ensuring they help with 1) above.
For example, mine is: Build "multiple low maintenance recurring revenue streams" where the monthly recurring revenue is greater than my monthly outgoings.

Clarity of purpose is what you need to prevent you going off at tangents. Once you have your destination fixed you can get there in any manner of ways and you'll hopefully be flexible enough to cope with the unexpected and unplanned for.

I totally agree with BarryM3.... plans are great, but the market ultimately pays us for results not for how "busy" we've been. Results come from taking action, not from over analysis.

To ensure you're results focused, always be thinking "how is what I'm doing helping me to achieve my personal and business goals".

Mindmaps are great for helping you to organise knowledge, and to come up with new ideas.

Reuse is key, especially knowledge reuse (i.e. don't reinvent the wheel unnecessarily). I've other articles on my website that might help. Feel free to take from them what applies to you.

    I hope that helps.

    Andy
