Prob the wrong place but I do not know what to do with this.

Was out sick a few weeks back and had to fill in the absence forms. Got the cheque from the social welfare, to cover my sick time. Is this just a normal cheque, that can be cashed in at any bank?

Yes it is a normal cheque that can be lodged in your bank, post office or credit union account.

If your employer paid you while you were sick, they would normally expect this to be paid over to them, unless they already deducted it from your pay.
