I've been looking around online for a protein that would be a good mass gainer. Looking for something that has a high calorie count as I'm burning more than I can get into me at the minute - as much as I try. Had a look at optimum nutritions Serious Mass but looks like mixed reviews.

Trying to start a bulking phase over the winter including weight training etc. as I'm pretty thin and need to start bulking out for senior football and just in general.

If anyone could point me in the direction of a good mass gainer that I could order online or even look around the shops for I'd be very grateful.

be careful, that stuff is just sugar, if you are in your teens just add more meals per day. bring it up to 6 a day.

build weight carefully once you build fat it is very hard to remove.

Jim Wendler, a man who knows a thing or two about gaining mass, said on Sunday this is what it takes to put on weight:

    a lb of minced beef
    4 litres of milk
    12 eggs
    ... and that's per day.

Look to your diet. If it isn't in a calorie surplus already then you need to make it so.

It's not. It's really, really not. Changing a lifestyle is hard to do, burning fat is one of the simplest things in the world.

    x2

If not then make your own bulking shake.

Buy powdered oats from myprotein (or blend your own, cheaper but not as nice)
Buy a protein powder from myprotein (if you buy unflavored then you will need a separate flavouring system such as a liquiflav or nesquik)
    Buy Peanut butter.
    +milk

    MIX

Excellent bulking shake packed with good carbs, proteins, fats. Best off all you can control the quantities of each given your changing dietary requirements
