I've a month old Pace Sky HD box, it seems to suffer from freezing up with pixelation for about a second or two, at least once an hour, sometimes twice.

Has anyone seen this before? Is it likely to be the box, HDD or cabling.

The signal strength seems pretty bad, percentages are estimates of the bars

    Input 1 Signal Strength 0%
    Input 1 Signal Quality 80%
    Input 1 Lock Indicator OK
    Input 2 Signal Strength 30%
    Input 2 Signal Quality 0%
    Input 2 Lock Indicator OK

was this happening during (heavy) rainfall? has it happened after the rain has stopped?

Am having exactly the same problem. Very annoying as it's a new box and a new dish. It happened again last night and yes it was raining, but why would that matter?

It doesn't seem to be connected to rain, but then I haven't been taking close notice of that, I will in future.

By the way it is running off a newly installed community shared dish system. However unfortunately it looks like they used that cheap cable that comes in a joined pair.

My SKY+ (not HD) does this all the time. In the space of an hour I'll see the picture freeze/stutter for a fraction of a second, countless times. Its especially noticeable when someone on a show turns their head or some movement, also very noticeable watching the football. The sound is fine. It's hard to notice and some people dont even see it.

At first I thought it was my LCD, had a TV engineer out, he took the TV away and said it was fine. So i guess that leaves the SKY. I haven't tried hooking up another TV to be sure but it seems more likely to be SKY than TV......?????????

Hi, I got a sky HD amstrad box fitted yesterday and it was fine. But today I have come home from work with the screen frozen and sound on working fine. It has been doing it most of the night approx every 10-15mins in the last 2 hours. I unplugged the box and it has still happened again! Any advice?

can you get hold of another box and try it using the same cables?

Having this problem a lot myself. Only thing I noticed was that the installer used crap connectors and fixed them to the cable badly. I haven't a ladder to go up the roof to check the connections on the LNB but I'm presuming they're as bad as those on the other end connecting to the HD box.
