Looking for South Dublin Track

Hi Guys, just looking for a track in South Dublin that I can use/ rent for an hour a week. I can only really train after work i.e. 6pm so Ideally it would be flood lit. I would like a track because I want to do some interval work, or is there some other way of doing interval work?

Tallaght would be closest to me that I know of, but I just rang them and I would have to join the club to use the track, I wouldn't mind the €120 fee for the year tbh, but I guess I would have to give up my boards Ac membership :(
I know about UCD but I am guessing it would be too dark?

Cheers in adavnce for the advice.

Other alternative might be irishtown as far as i know they have lighting (only ever out there during the summer when it bright so not 100% certain) Also UCD is not as dark as you would think given the fact that it is just off a main road street lights illuminate it quite well. May have DSD flooding the track at the times you mentioned not certain what their training times are though

This may be too southerly for you but there's free access at most times to the Charlesland Track in Greystones/Kilcoole. I go there often after work as its easy access from the N11.

Its not always lit though, so I bring my head torch, although the surrounding lights usually give you enough lighting to run on the track.

Yes, Irishtown is open and floodlit (though minimally) until 8-ish and you can pay per session. Club nights are Tues/Thurs but Crusaders don't mind considerate visitors.

I've often run around the UCD track in the pitch dark - I quite like it! As people said, the lights from the N11 shine in and the campus security building is right beside it so there's usually some kind of light. Security-wise it's pretty good as there's usually someone around - unlike some of the deserted tracks I've found..

Thanks for the advice guys. Will give UCD a whirl tomorrow evening so...Irishtown would be a bit of a trudge through rush hour traffic but if UCD doesn't work out I guess I could always schedule the track session for a saturday morning...
