cyma metal ak 47 & 74 mags in a kalash

hi,

since i know bugger all about ak's does anyone know if cyma midcaps (the metal ones) will fit in a kalash? I know about the latch issue with kalash, just wondering if anyone knows what the cyma midcap mags are like quality wise as well.

i have an ak47s (the rk-10) -- will the cyma ak47 midcaps fit it? do they feed well?

i will have a dboys ak74 (rk-03)- will the cyma ak74 midcaps (plastic) fit, do they feed well?

They will fit with a bit of work.

I heard kalash fixed the issue with the later models, like the akms, but am unsure, the '74 will deffo need work.

Also, the cyma mags are great, I have 6 of the '47 style ones, don't be afraid of mag brand mids for the '74 either.

You can either file the mags, or the mag catch, I prefer the catch, its more permanent and you don't need to re-do all mags, and you will be able to share mags with all AK's etc.

You also get the benefit of a tight fit, as you would file, test mag, file and so forth until they fit perfectly.
Its a bit time consuming, but well worth it, I wouldn't worry bout it enough to put you off a kalash aeg, they are fantastic aegs internally with rock solid build externally, if a bit off finish wise.
