Hello all, I have noticed lately that the BBC seem to show the same show at a different level of quality when it is repeated or on late at night. Either that or I am going mad.

Now what I dont understand is the bitrate is the same, I would have thought same show + same bit rate would = same quality.

Has anyone else noticed this or have a go at explaining it?

A perfect example is Life, on the original air date it looked stunning, it was repeated last night and looked better than SD but no where near the original.....
