Assuming that you are talking 90 series not 80-100?
There is a difference with the D4D engine and the 1-KZTE, the D4D with 6spd is slightly more expensive, the shape was the same but the engine/Gbox different from 2000-2002 IIRC.
I would think 6-8k would get a nice one now, fine vehicles and very reliable.

Black 1998 LWB

Blue 1997 LWB

Red 1998 SWB

All on ebay, so the VRT can be calculated on ROS. Bear in mind that the commercial VRT on the LWBs will be 13.5%.

I bought a 1996 Hilux on ebay last year, and it worked out very well.
