How much do you normally pay for No.6/No.4 non-lead cartridges? or do you use lead cartridges?

Just use lead. No need for steel down here yet.

    Oh, I see.

I can't remember where but I read somewhere that there is a ban on deposition of lead based pellets in fields where farm animals could go into....

Is it for UK I wonder...?

Not quite. It's a ban on lead on wetlands in the UK & NI. You must use steel there.
