Have just installed my Humax HDR receiver, and have tried scanning for Sky News a few times in free view mode, but still cannot pick it up.
Was just wondering if changing the transponders will sort it out.
    Any advice would be appreciated.

You cannot receive Sky News in Freesat mode, only in Non-Freesat mode.

I did not use Freesat mode, I used freeview mode,as far I am aware you only have two choices "could be wrong"to choose from

If you are using a Humax Foxsat HDR your choices are Freesat mode and non-Freesat mode.

I think evilivor is trying to point out that Freeview is a UK DTT (Terrestrial) system, not a satellite system, therefore you must be in non-Freesat mode, which allows you to watch non-scrambled (free to air) Satellite

You wont pick up the UK Freeview signal on a Humax HDR box

(Sorry this doesnt answer your real question)

Sky News is coming in loud and clear on my Humax HDR (Non-Freesat mode) on 12207 V 27.5 2/3

Do a full scan, rather than a trnasponder scan. You should find four skynews channels on Astra, two sat feeds and two cable feeds (one for UK and one for IRL).
