I have an old raileigh frame, not sure what bottom bracket i need. One of the sizes is 68mm, and my crank selt is not square tapered, i think its "splined".
Belfeild bike shop said bottom brackets are usually €35, and another €10 for labour. Sounds steep?

I've found UCD bike shop to be value for money (when dealing with students at the least). As per the cost of your specific item - I'm not sure, but sounds about right.

35 would be pricey for a basic, unbranded, splined BB. Did they give any indication as to what model BB it would be?
