Doing the Rotterdam Marathon early April 2010 so looking for a few 10 mile and Half Marathons to break up the training a bit. Is there any in Ireland in January/ February 2010?

There's usually a 10 mile race in Mallow, Co. Cork in the middle of January

I usually do both the Dungarvan and Mallow races. They are both worth doing and good for PB's.

Sorry for the hijack, but what was the course like? I did the 10K in September there, and enjoyed it. I would definately be interested in th 10 miler.

It was my first time doing it and I'm not from the area, so I don't know the names of the roads or anything but it's def a fair/good course with a alot of downhill sections until the last 2 miles which were tough as you went on to a main road that was uphill and you had the wind in your face. Def a race I'll hope to do depending on when it is, I have a feeling it may clash with Raheny, oh and it was bloody freezing last year :D

Thanks for that Woddle - not from Dungarvan myself, so I don't know the names of roads either :o

Glad to hear it's not too hilly (we had part of that hill for the last 1-2K in the mini marathon).

I think I will give it a go!
