    Hi all,,,
Its nt what the title sounds but its just as bad. I was bathing my child last night in the bath and bent over and my iphone fell out of my pocket and into the bath. Speedily i recovered the phone and dried it and placed it onto a radiator for a few hours. Now i have a blank screen with nothing.. Just wondering if anyone knows who can repair these if its possible or am i just going to have to accept a lovely paper weight.. Gutted i left it in my pocket.. My iphone was unlocked and on vodafone so no warranty..

    Sean

a few hours won't dry it out, you should't have tried to turn it on yet. Switch off, put in hot press for a day or more, then try again

If it was me ... I'd leave it for several days in the hot-press ... don't try powering up until all traces of condensation / vapour / moisture are long gone from the screen.

You may find the battery has drained ... if it doesn't turn on, don't panic ... try charging it first.

Best of luck ... let us know how you get on.

Hot press for at least a week! I have dried out a few phones doing this.

Put it in a container of uncooked rice is what I heard!

Because it being a sensitive touch screen iphone will the screen not be damaged over the water damage. Ive heard of normal phones working after drying out but hopefully the hot press will dry it out.
