I was able to preorder a copy over the phone with the carrickmines branch at 12 today. They didnt know it was goona be 37.77 but the fella took my word for it

Rang Carrickmines just there. Was transfered to 3 different people who said they knew nothing about it. They seemed a bit taken back by the price too!

Then one said we can't take pre-orders over the phone.

Sounds to me like it may have been a mis-print on the ad or something?

I just got transfered to their games section and the guy was really helpful. He didn't take a deposit or anything so that might be what they meant by saying they cant take pre orders.

Out their at lunch, told they don't do pre orders , told him it was one day only.

Checked with manager and said he'd take the pre order.

Quoted €64 for the game, told him €37.77 in the paper.

Total disbelief but checked with head office and took the pre order €37.77

Just went out to My local Harvey's (Limerick) and pre-ordered this... I bought a copy of the paper on the way and just handed the girl the Ad... no problems.

Same here, went in and paid €37.77 no problem, pick up tuesday....One of the sales reps told me they are buying it in at €50 and selling it as a loss, just to highlight to people they sell console games....

Excellent price. HN in Dundalk are charging €37.97 but I wasn't bothered trying to get the price in the paper

Uh oh, they didnt take any money off me when i rang up I hope the guy knew what he was on about when he said it was reserved. He also told me that he'd give me a call tomorrow if they were allowed sell it to us early... which i thought was very unlikely.

Think I'll just drop in to the shop in the morning at some stage.

This price was only available today
as far as I know it goes back up to €64.99 tomorrow

the offer of 37.77 is from today until the day launch. so you can go in on tuesday (if they have any left) and get it for that price.

Read somewhere on hear as well that Tesco will have it at 45 euro for the first 2 days of launch.

We've had this in work for the last 4 days now but it was clocking in at 70 euro and I was far too broke and working all weekend to get it so might hold off now

I also ordered in Xtravision and asked for the price when doing so - they didn't know, so I asked where did I stand if others were cheaper and was told there'd be no problem with a refund if they were more expensive

Rathfarnham and Carrickmines aren't taking pre orders today, said offers were only for yesterday (damn my sunday drinking) had the cheek to offer pre order for €65 which is 10 more than the rrp in the sunday paper ad.

He'd actually have given it to me there and then only they've no stock yet. They're hoping to get a delivery around lunchtime, so I might try him then and take a halfday!;)

Come down to Xtravision in Carpenterstown this evening from 11pm. You wont be dissapointed We have a few hardened editions left, more so on PS3.

I've been told a price of 55 for normal edition, with a free DVD, half price Accessory (bluetooth headset for 8quid!) and a bunch of rental vouchers.

Refreshments and food will be provided, as you hang out in our war themed store.
