    Hi I'm from Wolverhampton
    hope you guys can help

    Bought a Panasonic freesat tv
bought a 60cm dish with twin LNB
    fixed it to the house
    found Astra 2b
    using the tv signal stregnth

but, poor, some times ok signal. (fluctuates)
    suspected nearby tree causing loss.

I moved the dish to a seemingly better site.

I slowly scanned the south to east horizon, even bought a satfinder...

    Nothing, nowt, zip, zero
except for the odd twitch on the needle.
there's a larger tree but it's a hundred metres away.
    I just don't get it
should I get a gizmo that will improve signal strength?
    any suggestions will be marvellous

    thanks for looking

    kev

Unless the tree is 100 meters high, it's unlikely to be in the way.

Use dishpointer.com to get the direction you need to point the dish to whatever satellite you want to get, at your location. Once you're in the general area, it should be easy to find as the signal is strong.

Your problems with flucuation of the signal could have been due to insufficient LNB skew (google it; IIRC, dishpointer will also give you the skew you need to apply to the LNB for whatever satellite you've selected).

    thanks
    I gave up

Called a local fitter, he charged £40 to supply and fit a mini dish with Quad LNB.

Interestingly the dish position he chose was one I had overlooked.

I know enjoy superb HD television

the Telly found another satellite (no name I'm afraid).. and listed it's available stations.
    What could this be?
