    Hi,
    Bought a Samsung x120. The charger is 19V 2.1A.
I have an old Samsung charger, 19V 3.5A.
    Both have same polarity.
It fits into the x120, and the charge light comes on.
Just wondering if theres a danger to my pc of plugging this old higher amp charger in to it?
Seems to be conflicting answers elsewhere on the Interweb.
    Cheers

    should be ok

the laptop will only draw as much current as needed, so it has more resources with this versus the 'recommended' one

if it was a higher voltage that would be a different issue.

    just my 2c

I wouldnt be the first one to advise it. While a laptop is probably much more intelligent than most tech, in the vast majority of devices if you doubled the amperage, you'd fry the ****in thing. Learned through hard experience.

Stick your finger in any exposed metal - like the headphone jack or the USB ports. Feel a ting or a pain? Had that with a piece of **** charger I got off ebay. Had no choice but to use it. But to be fair the motherboard in question has since been replaced for other reasons. for all i know it might have contributed to other issues though.
