Just wondering if anyone knows how the new legislation affects decommissioned collectors guns, garands, mp40s, aks etc.?
Would one require a license for them?

I think things have stayed the same, you need an authorisation for a defective firearm and may be required to hand them up to be inspected by the ballistics unit. If you have to hand them into ballistics it could take a very long time to get them back. I wouldn't bother at the moment as the Gardai are busy dealing with so many live guns you could be waiting forever.
