I think you still have to live in the country for x number of years and then apply for citizenship. But you are free to live anywhere in the EU.

I have dual nationality, but my son has tri-nationality. Irish, UK and as of last week American.

Why Japanese? As cool as they are, is there a hint of truth to it?

Born in Australia to Irish parents so have both.

    Handy for avoiding customs.

I don't, but I would be eligible for American and British citizenship, so I've been told, thanks to being quarter American and quarter British.

I am of the belief that we should introduce an Internal Passport in Ireland with special restrictions on holders of Cork Passports, and establish a border checkpoint at the toll boot at Fermoy and Mallow station and keep the langers within their own county.

My thinking would be along the lines of putting up a huge wall around Munster (well not Tipperary, we can pawn them off as being a new part of Leinster) and keep all the feral ****e from the rest of the country from entering Munster. With the only exception being folk from Galway as they are alright.

In answer to the actual topic, yes I do. My parents are from different countries and I have citizenship here and in Germany. Actually with having lived in England for 10 years I guess I should include there too.

I hold an El Salvadorian passport as well as my Irish one. I'm entitled to a Spanish one as well since Euskal Herria doesn't have it's own passport. But not much point in holding 2 EU country passports.

Down with that sort of thing!

Have two, three if you count the above suggestion

The spanish passport allows for Visa free access throughout alot of latin & south america, handy if you were backpacking down there.

Cold technically get an Irish one, a British one and a Finnish one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,889 ✭✭✭tolosenc

Irish and Canadian. Am entitled to British (and Indian, if my dad takes up his entitlement). Was born in Japan, but they don't allow multiple nationalities, and I'm already over 20. Dunno how much longer I have to be in France to be French, but no doubt the paperwork would take several years...

I have English/Irish. And I *think* some kinda French nationality. I have the card and medical insurance and all that. Haven't lived there in years. Think it's all something to do with my Dad and claiming taxes, he still lives there. He's a bit silly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,893 ✭✭✭Davidius

Nope, dad's from Waterford and mother's from Wicklow.

    I'm just very average.

I've been to every country in Latin America except the Guyanas and i never needed a visa. Most countries just group the EU countries in with the same immigration laws.

Just the Irish passport but have an English birthcert. If passports were needed to go between England and Ireland 19 years ago then I would have had an English one.

Parents both Irish, 99.9% Irish and proud!
