Contraceptive Pill Advice

Hey guys

I was due to get my period this week (normally starting on Saturday or Sunday) however I read the instructions wrong and STARTED my pill before my period was due as opposed to taking it the FIRST DAY of my period (to be instantly protected) as mentioned in the instructions.

I have only taken one pill. Does that mean I have screwed up my regular period or should I just not take any other pills and wait until my period starts (or will it even start?) ? I am on ovranette if it's any consolation.

The only was to be sure is to ask a medical professional.
My college nurse had a huge book of Pill FAQ's.
Give your doctor a call and see if someone there can advise you.

Don't worry, has happened me a few times... Spoke to my GP about it already.

Don't take anymore until you period DOES come.... And it will, may be a few days later than expected but it will come.... Then continue the packet from the first day. You will then only have 20 days... Finish the pack and take your 7 day break starting back on the 8th day. Complete the 21 days. You period may come 2 or 3 days LATER than the period your waiting to get now. Mainly because of the extra day of hormone you adding to your body... By moth 3 your periods will be regular again.

I know its a nuisance, but by your 3rd pack, you'll be back to normal Just make sure u remember to take all pills at roughly the same time everyday and remember to monitor your 7 day break, remembering which day you need to start back on.
