Adult "finding" sites

I'm thinking of giving them a shot but wanted to know what was the general opinion on the types of sites.
Going out to clubs is far too expensive and while the chase is really exciting sometimes you can waste a lot of money while chasing someone who just wanted a confidence boost at the end of the night.
I will admit straight out every so often i just want no strings attached no mind games, just sex. Are sites that offer connections between people too seedy in most peoples views. Most of the time they're advertising for men so i can't see there being a good ratio or even many at all, women on those sites.

Do people think it's "ok" to use those sites and does anyone have any experience or success with them?

I'll assume you're a straight male looking for a woman, and that you're in Ireland.

In that case, I'd say it'll be a waste of time. I'd guess the m/f ratio will be horrible and the ones that might responsed will just like the attention and never meet.

If you're living in somewhere like London or New York, your chances are slightly better (through a combo of sexual mores and internet comfortableness). But you'll still waste a lot of time. And half the ones that claim to be women will actually be men.

If you're a gay male or a woman, you're chances might be better, but I'd say you're still better off not using them unless you're looking to meet someone into a specific fetish.

I think in summary, likely a waste of time - it'll be an extended tease.

They do work but quite often it is more women in their thirties, bored suburban housewives types etc. and it is not too often you actually find women in their twenties on those sites. They are also quite expensive compared to normal dating sites. There is one site with over 200,000 users in Ireland so just simply through sheer numbers it is pretty easy to score via these.

It is really a persons own choice and so long as you are careful with your browsing history no one will ever know. Are they seedy? I wouldn't really say so, at least people are being honest and saying this is what they want and whether or not it is "ok" is a personal decision that you must judge by yourself. It is no different to a drunken one night fumble from some dingy nightclub and at least this way both parties can approach the subject in a more mature manner and enjoy whatever happens mutually.
