ok, so done millions times before.

Myself and himself brought up as catholic, back in 80s got baptised, comummion and whole lot confirmation cos guess thats what you did back then.

My mam is catholic, doesn't go to church but prob one of the most decent people you could ever meet [e.g she used to work in offie and walk alcos home even though it meant given up her lunch breaks...etc I could go on) My dad has been a ambulance man /paramedic for past 20 years.....etc

we all had great childhood went to church on Sundays and celebrate xmas/easter etc BUTthing is I would classify myself as no religon, I believe in a aferlife, and my main thing in life is do onto others as you want done to yourself (ok going back to catholic there but its the same in any religion I have found myself likened to)

Is this this how we all feel? I'm still searching for my own place but I think i feel happy enough with no religion and just 'not doing onto others as I wouldn't want myself"

    ta!

You don't have to goto church to be a christian(Regarding your mam) and you don't have to be catholic to be christian either.

But to answer your question, some people do feel like that and thats grand so long as you keep the search and one day you find your answer somewhere.
I'm happy as I am though.

/Whats with all the religion threads in AH?????

I go a bit further myself, OP, but at the end of the day it's whatever you need to be happy. For some religion is the answer, for some it isn't.

And for some the answer is endlessly mocking the first group. (Our troll-cave is the A&A forum ;) )

Any poll in AH on the topic indicated that most people here don't really believe themselves to be catholic, or even in a god at all.

    To hell with religion.
