obviously im not finding it simple but i know a lot of people who do.So could anyone tell me how to get the useful power output of a winch when i have the energy supplied, the potential energy and the work done to lift an object already answered.im stuck on this for ages now and i need it to answer the efficiency question which is after it!!
    help is greatly appreciated!!

at a guess I'd say it's efficiency is (potential energy gained)/(power inputed)
