Cervical Cancer Vaccine......

I know medical advice is not forthcoming on this site and that is correct and proper, but what I would like to know about are women's experiences of making their decision to have their daughters vaccinated with Gardasil.

I have 2 daughters and am considering having them vaccinated. I have read up on the pros and cons but most of the advice being offered is by sites/people with vested interests.

In particular, I am interested in the side effects or lack thereof. Any advice would be great.

    Many thanks in advance.

please search some more on google video, yahoo video about this topic.
i would not trust anyone from the pharma corps or anyone selling there wares.that is my personal view.
i have seen pretty bad effects from these on the news in australia and other places.
i hope whatever choice you make it is well informed because any hormone or drug can effect the body in many ways.

here is one vid i just searched fast

be it truth or lies it is information that may help you decide.
    all the best

I had the vaccine done up North,

The only side effect is a slightly nauseous feeling for a little while after, you have to stay in the doctors for 20 minutes or so. Other than that no effects! well worth it. I would say that though... I didn't have to pay 600 euro

Im posting here as a graduate in microbiology so obviously I'm biased towards the vaccinations.

My main advice would be to talk it over with your GP, or if you feel that he or she might be biased look up articles on google scholar or pubmed

    http://http://scholar.google.co.uk/scholar

    http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/advanced

All the articles there are scientific ones written up by people working in their various fields. Especially try for 'Review' articles as these will sum up what is currently known about the subject on which they're written.

Be sure to check the conflicting interests statement in each article, so that you are getting an unbiased view. If they're is no conflict you can be sure that you are getting an article written by an expert in that field who has no interest either way in the debate and is just giving the fats and that the article has been checked by other experts (peer-reviewed) so as to error free.

Also if you're unsure about any terms just google them - its just scientific language

I would really advise against just randomly searching the internet. There you will either find pharma companies trying to get you to buy they're products even if you don't need them or uniformed quacks warning you that all drugs are evil and that homeopathy cures everything.
