96 Civic wont start

I have a 96 Honda Civic import which is a great little car. It is usually very reliable but in the last few weeks sometimes it wont start. Had it in the garage and they couldn`t find anything wrong. Seems to not start after it has been raining. Mechanic says that water is not getting in at the distributer cap or starting mechanism. Any ideas what could be causing it? It starts very easily with jump leads so I hope its not a major problem.

If it starts with jump leads then it's most likely the battery.

Agreed. Could be a dodgy battery. No harm in buying a new one and seeing if that fixes the problem!
