Six sheep belonging to a farmer who lives near Ardboe in County Tyrone have been targeted in a paint attack.

The man, who is a Protestant and wants to remain anonymous, said his animals had been daubed with tricolours.
He said the ewes were in lamb and he fears some may lose their unborn young as a result of the stress they have suffered during the incident.
'Stress'! They're fúcking sheep! This, from a man who decides to make them bald every summer.

Anyway, I thought it was a strange story.

*imagines a sheep with his getting interviewed in a dark room where you can only see the dark shape, retelling the tale 'baaaaaaa!!! baa! baaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!"

You know nothing about sheep or farming!
It takes very little for a ewe to lose her lamb. Even something as simple as a dog chasing them for a minute or two can be enough.
So yes, even something less stressful like messing with a ewe and applying paint could well cost this farmer dear.

As for making them bald .
I've never heard someone calling shearing like that

I lolled when I saw this on the news. The farmer is trying to make a big deal out of a prank. Someone should cremate the sheep and blow the ashes up the farmers arse with a trumpet.

It's pretty obvious that Protestant sheep would find tricolours stressful, especially during times of need :pac:

Can you spread out these threads, Tom?

I shot my pun load in the recent thread about the guy in the sheep outfit being set on fire.

Thats not a sectarian attack. If it was, there would have been religious hate painted on the sheep.
It was a political attack as it involved a flag of a state!!

They're making an awful racket about this aren't they? I mean really it's much ado about mutton. Ewe'd be hard pushed to take offence at something that was just done for shear craic.

You sound very passionate about sheep, which part of Wales are you from ;-)

Aaah come on, you can't have a sheep thread without at least one mention of the Welsh.
