Haight Ashbury's brilliant, loads of unique little places and vintage shops. Some shops very expensive, but loads of variety and really quirky.

There's also a giant Forever 21 store on the main shopping street, the name of which escapes me right now, but it's right beside the place where you can get the cable cars. And directly across the road from that there's a shopping centre with all Abercrombie and Fitch, Victoria's Secret etc.

    Hi,

If your staying in the center of san francisco, you will not be short of places to shop! On union square, you have a macys, tiffanys, victoria secret, saks 5th ave, and nordstroms etc.

Head further down the street to union street and you will see a huge mall called the westfield mall. Every shop you can think of is in this place, I love it!! Like the poster above said, across the street is forever 21, also there is a gap, a marshalls ( equivilent to TJmaxx ) and pay less shoes.

If you head out to a place called sausalito, there are plenty of little boutiques etc. This area is amazing, its right beside the water and food everywhere is good!!! :) You can get the ferry across or rent a bike and cycle across the golden gate bridge to sausalito, have lunch and get the ferry back with the bikes!

Hope this was of some help! Enjoy! ;)

Forever 21 was great when we were there. There is an Urban Outfitters and a h and m across the road plus a huge shopping centre I think. All very central.. Lucky you, id love to go back there to shop

I'd second Haight Ashbury, be sure not to miss it. There are lots of nice, unique shops up there. As regards around Union Square, you're inundated with all kinds of brands and high street shops - Urban Outfitters comes recommended :)

Third on Haight Ashbury district, with a specific recommendation to check out La Rosa Vintage Boutique. They specialize in vintage clothing from the 1920s-1960s. Everything is hand selected and in excellent condition. Some of the items can be very pricey, but they also have items that are priced very reasonably. Definitely worth a look!

I'm so jealous. Would love to be going back to San Fran.

Macy's is the best, if you bring your passport you will get 10% off for just being foreign!

    Old Navy rocks too.
