(Im not looking to buy or sell tickets this is just a general query)

Im not a rugby fan but a few friends are coming over who are so I was going to take them to the South Africa game.

I looked for tickets but the prices Im getting are about €110 a piece

Does that sound normal or seriously inflated?

(I know Rugby has the 'posh' stereotype but surely those prices are taking the pi55)

Face value of a stand ticket is E70 and Terrace E30 or E35. some clubs add on a levy no more than a fiver usually. the only reason these tickets may worth more is if they are for the premium level which are E90. For E110 you are certainly paying over the odds.

I am currently looking for Boks tickets myself but am refusing to pay any extra to touting scum. From what I hear there are some available from certain places throughout the country but its actually locating them that is the problem

Ah right, thanks for that- was wondering cos I've actually never been before. I assume the chances of getting some those tickets is slim to none then.

It is still a few weeks off yet I wouldnt give up hope on it. Just keep a watchfull eye over this board and rugby forums and you might get lucky. I have found in the past that the closer you get to the game the more tickets that free up. if you did decide to go ahead and buy right away then I would advise buying the package deals for 140 for the two games in croke park (these are available on the munster and connaught websites). For an extra 30 euro you would get the oz game and sure if you were able to sell them on even at some sort of knockdown price it would reduce what you spend overall on the boks tickets.

There is a dedicated Match Ticket thread for all discussions relating to tickets. Use this thread please. All further threads/posts outside of this thread relating to tickets will be deleted. Also remember the buying and selling of tickets is NOT allowed on this forum.
