When potential employees are seeking a job they are often asked to give references. I'd like to see employees, past or present give references for people seeking employment. Who have you worked for and would you recommend them?

    My list:
The Arran Chemical Company - Athlone.
Not bad pay and not bad conditions. If you leave dont depend on a reference however. I left when my wife passed on and I thought this was fair enough as I have three children that needed me. Reference given to potential employers "He left us in the lurch, no notice given". I couldnt understand why I couldnt secure a job almost a year later so I had a friend ring and ask for a reference, was I ever surprised!

    Texecom - Manchester.
Excellent pay and conditions. Highly recommended.

    Westfal Manufacturing - Athlone.
Terrible pay but great place to work none the less. Pity the place closed its doors.

Malachi Cullen & Ptrs. - Athlone.
Good pay and good conditions. Highly recommended.
