hi folks am in the familly way as they say and am starting to grow out of everything i have, am looking for clothes to cover me and not make my bump too obvious cause its still early days and have no intention of making public declarations. Anyways any site i have looked at for maternity clothes are scaring the bejasus out of me, im normally not fussy but is there such a thing as nice maternity clothes and anyone know where i might find some, also dont want to spend a fortune as am not planning on having loads of kids.

Littlewoods have maternity clothes and if you search online you can get a code and get between 10 -20% off.

Also Dunnes and Pennys have loads of stretch tops, cardigans, wraps & dresses in stock, very easily get away with them for maternity clothes and still get lots of use out of them after.

River Island have a maternity range now in the Ilac Centre store. Pretty much is the same as the non-maternity so you wouldn't be making any public declarations and it is quite nice. Not too pricey either.

I really don't think maternity clothes are as manky as people think...the market has come a long way! Galway have a store called Modern Mum which has nice stuff including stuff for weddings/special occasions, New Look and TopShop have maternity stuff too!! Mothercare also stocks some stuff but I'm not sure what that is like...

Hi suimhneas, congrats on the pregnancy! Dorothy Perkins were my lifesaver when I was preggers twice, they do those adjustable jeans for about €30 and you'll get the whole pregnancy out of them. They do great t shirts and tops too which are fairly inexpensive - which is important I think because you'll only wear them for a short period of time. Also I got some brilliant trousers for work from Mothercare - their tops were a bit old fashioned though.
