I find these threads funny, Lets face it most people will get up, shower, eat/drink coffee and head off. Very few will check the internet before they head off. Get into work and see that there was a Gatso in X,Y or Z location and think, "Feck it, Did I get points this morning"...

    No offence OP.

I knew it was a good idea to attach a laptop to my dashboard!

    I do. :o

In my defence I read the papers online but always have a quick sneak look at Boards.ie to see if there's anything like this posted.

Why not "go mad" and just obey the posted limit?
That way you will get an extra 5 mins in bed each morning...

This isn't that unusual on this stretch of road - they normally camp out under/just after the bridge at the Damastown turn off, or in the same spot on the inbound side.

Occasionally I've seen them just before the Blanchardstown SC (inbound) exit where the road bends to the right so you don't see them till it's too late - very clever this one as they park the bikes/stand in the median strip.. accident waiting to happen!

EDIT: No doubt all for our safety.. nothing to do at all with the fact that it's a nice wide, decently surfaced 100 km/h stretch of DC so easy money and little effort of course....
