Mini WSOP - Updated Player List & Info

Hi All,

Firstly I want to thank everyone for showing great interest in this event looks like it could be a sell out!:eek:

At the moment I have 111 players who have either paid in full or have made a partial payment. I also have an additional 190 on the reserve list.

The 186 players who are on the reserve list will lose their seat in the Main Event if they have not fully paid for that seat by 7pm on Friday 6th Nov'09.

Reg for the main event opens at 6pm.

We are also running a satellite on Friday starting at 6pm (reg for this event will open at 5pm), anyone who plays the satellite and does not win a seat will have 1st preference on any remaining seats for the main event should there be a shortage of seat.

I AM NO LONGER ACCEPTING CHEQUE'S OR BANK TRANSFERS.

At this stage if you really want into this event either get there early or make payment at one of my games tomorrow or thursday night.

Hi All,

It's come to my attention that some of you have paid more than you should be for your bedrooms at the Hotel.

I had agreed a room rate of €75 per night.

Anyone who has been charged more than this please notify the hotel on arrival and they will lower it to €75.

A mate of mine is heading out to this too, but I have him warned to be there before 7 to ensure he can get a seat.

The hotel is near the Luas stop, isn't it?

Hi Dom,

Yes if he gets off at the last luas stop by the square shopping centre.

If heads towards the Boyles Sports betting shop he should be able to see Hotel, if not he will defo be able to see shamrock rovers stadium and the hotel is beside that.

hi jp,a bit of advice please. if i was lucky enough to make day 2, roughly how many chips would i lose by sitting out til about 3pm as i manage a u16 soccer team and we have important national cup match same day

I have 4 seats reserved for the Atari. At the moment I don't have the names, I will pop into Ollie tomorrow night after his last satellite and get all the names.

Hey,

Play starts back at 1pm
Blinds 300-600 (75) and then 400-800 (100) followed by a 15 min break while we chip race the 25's.

You will probably get hit by the blinds twice in each level.

So if were playing 9 handed at this stage which I hope to be you'll lose 7350.
That's if you only get hit by the blinds twice per level.

Hi All,

At the moment our paid player list stands at 118 players and our unpaid player list stands 185.

We will be doing our very best tomorrow to get everyone in if it's sold out.

Originally we planned on allowing new players in for just 3 levels, however if he have alternatives who still haven't gotten into the game we will continue to allow players who were on the alternative list by the end of level 3 in until the end of level 4.

Once again can I stress the best way to avois disappointment (or waiting around to be seated) is to get there early.

Anyone who plays the satellite will have preference on spare seat over players who don't play the satellite.

Hi Dom,

Soup and sandwiches on Friday and Sunday and a carvery on Saturday.

JP's at the hotel now, so he will have more info later on late night/snack menus.

Just in from the Maldron Hotel - big room and absolutely packed; there were over 300 playing in the main event when I left! Got there in time for the 6pm satellite and honestly thought to myself on the way in, 'I shouldn't play this, the way my year is going I'll play fine, go out on the bubble and be too despondent to play the main event'...BINGO! Two away from the tickets, 90 played the sat and 11 tickets.

Looked like such a great tournie to play in as well, I just don't have the mentality to get so close and be able to bring my A-game, so why bother when Dublin is full of pubs and it's a Friday night?

Shed-loads of boardsies out there as well..
