I'm looking to improve my swim technique, which is pretty poor at the moment. I can swim a few kms but thats more through fitness than technique.

Anyone know of a good swim coach in dublin that does individual (or group) lessons?

Not sure if the lack of responses is to do with people's disinterest or that they are just slow to recommend people.
One approach for you is to contact some of the swimming pools around Dublin to find out if coaches use their lanes. It could be advertised on their notice boards but either way the coach has to apply for 'pool' or lane time for their classes even if they're one on one.

If you're a member of a gym (college or otherwise) with a pool in Dublin you should ask whoevers sitting at the front desk about lessons - tell them what you said above - you want to impove - arent starting from scratch.

The other approach is to look at joining a masters club. They can cater for improvers and you might save yourself alot of time and money with a coach that may or may not help you. If you dig around this forum you'll probably find a list of masters clubs - pick one that suits you geographically and try it out - Im sure most clubs would encourage people to come along for at least one session to see if theres a fit.

    Good luck

    Hi Poskantor,

Not sure if you got that coaching sorted but i do know a guy who would really help you out with your swimming technique, fitness, endurance etc. He's an ex-olympian and coached some of the fastest swimmers in Ireland. He really knows how to motivate people of all levels and is looking to set up a training team/group as well. Let me know if you're still interested and i'll get you in touch with him.
