Try a restart in safe mode. If it restarts, uninstall the graphics card and driver. Then restart and try again.

Could you clarify what you mean by "issues"?

    When you say
the graphic card did not install properly
do you mean that XP didn't have a suitable driver "out of the box"?. So you then...
got the driver and downloaded it and installed it OK
    and rebooted the PC.

If the PC died at this stage from a software change such as driver installation then I would guess that it is purely coincidental. However I want to know what you mean by "died".

E.g. When you press the power button, do you hear any fans/disks spin?
Does anything show up on the screen at all?
    Is everything connected up properly?
Do you have another computer you can connect the monitor to to check that it is working?
If the fans spin up, and something shows up on the screen, are you getting any status messages at all?

If the machine is completely silent and when you press power, absolutely nothing happens, then I'm banking on either the power supply, the switch on the case or the motherboard, all of which shouldn't "die" from a driver installation and just unfortunately gave up at the same time you were performing software level maintenance.

    Let us know ASAP.

Nothing Nada Dead, will not restart even in safe mode.

Issues were missing corrupt files... reinstalled XP SP2

Graphic/Multi media card unknown in device manager (big yellow question mark) .. Issue was no audio and ROBLOX game was failing due to "unable to load graphics" Card model number GV-R925128T FC Gigabyte, ran the ATI driver and clicked to restart it shut down and failed to restart.

I still have the red standby light, by the main power button is not coming on

Are you sure it isnt just in Standy or Hibernate mode. Hold down the power for about 15 seconds that should turn it off fully and then turn it on again.

Can you see the POST screen on start up?
