yeah I was watching it on Eurosport last night. Good entertainment. Shumi still the king.
He beat both English drivers fair and square. Although the American ('cant remember his name) beat shumi in the sprint car.

its very water down version nothing like when it was in gran caneria and can anyone tell what the hell is david coulthard in team superstars some crap that who picks the drivers if its a race of champions why isnt seb loeb there and perhaps the nascar and indy car champs, the only reason they have a top line wrc man there is because m-sport are supplying the focus's and sure you'd have to bring mikko along

Once a motorsport event takes the shilling of a country with no real sporting heritage and where democracy does not prevail, all credibility is lost.

That said, I wound never have regarded the RoC as a serious event. More of an end of term showcase, even with the rosiest of rose tinted glasses, you can't try to talk it up past this. Then it becomes false memory syndrome brought about by having a predilection for Michele Mouton in a Quattro...

Its just a bit of fun at the end of the season. nice to see drivers in laid back mode and having a bit of craic. No one in their right mind would consider it a proper race meeting, just a bit of entertainment, thats all.:)

Yeah. I know. heikki kovalainen beat Schmuacher a few years ago in Ferraris

And there was a few F1 journo's at the time who used this as a basis for saying that Kovy was the next big thing and was heading for F1 greatness. Hasn't quite turned out that way!
