When I heard of this, my first thought was David Corkery.

I heard him mention the issue on George Hook's programme a few weeks back, but can't be sure if he was raising it as an issue, or just referring to gossip.

I saw an O'Connell interview about the current set up versus the old school former players and I have to say I was very impressed with O'Connell in that. He genuinely came accross as not giving a sh*t what former players have to say as it's a different group now and they don't know what this Munster squad is about.

Thought it was a good shield he put over his sqaud and also unifying the squad into a close knitt siege mentality.

First time I was really impressed with O'Connells leadership and as a captain, but he was really really good and is handling it well.

We've all heard of problems behind closed doors, but I'd say O'Connell is keeping the sqaud in a strong mentality to get focused on rugby.

is this not another case of Munster and their siege mentality?
and to be honest there would be something wrong with a team if they were to go through a run of results like Munster and not have interal issues

I take as much notice of Corkery's comments as I do Franno's.

This is not a case of alledged Munster siege mentality(not sure when Munster have displayed that before TBH) - rather POC defending his team against what seems to ill informed former players having a pop. Lets not analise this to pieces please.

all teams ever coached by a certain D. Kidney have operated under siege mentality, always bigging up the opposition, pretending they are the underdogs & that circumstances are against them etc etc etc

Not the Irish team that won the Grand slam, I don't believe they made any comments pre/post games that other teams were not saying themselves.

Yes agree with that. The Welsh and French showed that they can do lots of talking crap in build up to games last season.
